About
Inspired by her love for art, history, and the beauty of feminine culture. Asian American artist Mary Davis portrays these meaningful elements into each of her pieces. Her pieces serve as a reminder to live, love, and enjoy life in all that it has to offer. Her pieces encompass a deeper meaning of bravery, love, death, and the true meaning of relationships with others and more importantly with oneself.
“After years of formal education in the healthcare field, I felt the need to experience something that would make me feel alive. Art did this for me. The exact moment that I felt this electric urge to paint and create was walking around the museum of fine art in Boston, Massachusetts. Specifically, this room that I call the “red room”. Hung on red walls from ceiling to floor are these mesmerizing portraits and paintings that have captured history. Feeling renewed and recharged to capture this feeling, I put the brush to the canvas.”
Mary has a master’s degree in nursing from Suny Empire and is currently in a post graduate family nurse practitioner certificate program. She works full-time as a fertility nurse and enjoys helping people achieve their dreams. She is married to Brad Davis who is also an artist and together they have two daughters and two dogs. They love to travel, eat good food, and live life to the fullest.
